An elderly man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a vehicle in a Tesco car park in Salford.
The 81-year-old was knocked down in the car park of the Tesco Extra on Pendleton Way at around 2.30pm on Tuesday (November 14), police said. Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, were called to the scene.
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Police said no arrests have been made at this stage.

The driver of the vehicle is 'assisting officers'. The type of vehicle has not been specified.
Greater Manchester Police collision investigators are now urging any witnesses of the incident to come forward. They particularly want to speak to anyone who has any dash cam footage.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 2.30pm on Tuesday 14 November 2023, emergency services were called to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on the car park of Tesco Extra, Pendleton. The pedestrian, an 81-year-old man, is in a critical condition in hospital.
"No arrests have been made and the driver of the vehicle is assisting the police with their enquiries. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any CCTV or dashcam footage should contact GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 2118-14/11/2023."
