The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) administers the State Pension and a range of benefits including Universal Credit, Child Credit, Tax Credit, Jobseekers Allowance and Support Allowance to around 20 million people. The DWP is also responsible for paying out cost of living payments each year. Millions of households are set to receive £300 this autumn as part of the £900 cost of living payment support, with a further £299 due next Spring.
