Some Glastonbury fans hoping to secure themselves tickets to the 2024 festival have been left furious after the event sold out within minutes.
The popular festival, which could be headlined by the likes of Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay next year if the unconfirmed rumours are true, will return to Worthy Farm in Somerset across five days at the end of June.
The second batch of standard tickets for the festival went on sale at 9am today (November 19) and were snapped up within less than an hour of going up. In a statement on social media at 9.57am, Glastonbury organisers wrote: “Tickets for Glastonbury 2024 have now Sold Out.

“Our thanks to everyone who bought one and we're sorry to those of you who missed out, on a morning when demand greatly exceeded supply. There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2024.”
But the statement was seemingly not enough for some fans who couldn’t help but vent their frustrations at being unable to get a ticket, as YorkshireLive first reported. Zoe Muldoon wrote: “Got carpal tunnel syndrome after all that refreshing and still didn’t get Glastonbury tickets...how do people do it every year?!”
@Chrisburnley35 said: “I honestly believe you need to be part of some cult to get glasto tickets. I reckon it would be easier to set a band up and play glasto than get tickets.”
Fighting back the tears, @Lanasargeant joked: “No Glastonbury tickets again for me even though I’m under the delusion that I deserve them more than anyone else.” @Jxssmitchell bitterly raged: “F*** everyone who got Glastonbury tickets hope it rains.”
Richard Young said: “First time I went to Glastonbury it cost me £75 for the weekend and I bought the tickets over the counter at Andy's Records in Grimsby. This year I once again failed in an online bun fight for tickets. I'll retweet this every year until successful.”
Dedicated Come Dine with Me fan @MrWayneyB added: “For those who managed to get Glastonbury tickets. Well done. You won. Enjoy the festival, I hope it makes you very happy. Dear Lord, what a sad little life.”
Alongside a meme of a man putting on a clown mask, @emilymeowwww said: “6 years on the bounce I haven't got tickets, yet every year on this fateful Sunday I truly believe I have a chance.”
There's always next time...
