A cannabis farm worth thousands of pounds was raided in Rochdale this morning (November 20).
Officers targeted two properties on Daventry Way in the early hours. A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity, and remains in custody tonight.
The grow house was disassembled by cops. One farm included plants at different stages of growth, plus ‘numerous paraphernalia and material used to grow and maintain the plants, such as fans, heaters, and pots’, GMP said.

Sergeant Damieon Hartley-Pickles, from Greater Manchester Police’s Kirkholt and Castleton neighbourhood team, said it was a ‘fantastic find’. He added: “The plants within the property, once fully cultivated and prepared, would have had a potential street value of thousands of pounds. However, they have now been sent off to be destroyed and are out of circulation.
