You’d be hard pressed to find a takeaway that doesn’t do a box of sorts in Manchester nowadays. They have become all the rave in the last few years and have proved popular as seen from the success of Levenshulme stalwarts Red Cherry and Drip in Burnage.
However, there is another south Manchester kebab joint that promises theirs is unique and packs a mighty punch. The place in question is Three Brothers on Fog Lane in Burnage.
Three Brothers was opened by siblings Miz, Zia and Misbahur Rahman and they have already established themselves as a local favourite mainly due to their Naga sauce.

Naga Morich is a chilli pepper that is grown in northeast India and Bangladesh (where the Rahman family is from) and in 2011 was recorded as the hottest chilli in the world by the Guinness World Records with 1,382,118 Scoville heat units. With the help of their mum who grows the chilli, the brothers have created their own Naga sauce that they use in an array of their dishes on their menu.
After being invited by the chef and mastermind behind Three Brothers, Miz Rahman, we took a trip to see just how special they claim to be.
During my visit I had the Brother’s best selling Naga Boss Box, their donner nachos called ‘Donchos’ and I also got to try their brand new spicy chicken burger that launches on Monday (November 6).
Their Naga Boss Box came with a smashed double patty beef burger, seasoned chips lathered in nacho cheese, Naga wings and their famous Naga donner for £14.45.
The burger and fries were delicious but were pretty much what I expected. But, the Naga sauce on the donner meat and wings were not for the faint of heart.
It was the type of chilli that kicks the back of your throat the minute you digest it and I began welling up immediately. However, with spice being no issue for myself, I was able to handle it, but those who are anxious need not worry as Miz assured me that the spice level has been toned down to be enjoyed.
Nonetheless, be prepared to wipe and sniff your way through the meal. The Naga sauce on the wings is just as hot but slightly different.
The tastier of the two Naga sauces, it’s still tear inducing but with a hint of sweetness. Furthermore, with the classic Southern fried chicken batter on the wings it really elevates the dish and is honestly delicious.
The donner meat nachos, or ‘Donchos’ taste exactly how you think it does. It is a bowl of donner, nacho chips, melted cheese, their house sauce and jalapenos. For £5.95 it’s a lazy chef’s dream. The dish tasted as good as it sounds.
Miz was also eager to have me try their new burger, the Spicy Dip Burger. The chicken burger is their take on the famous spicy chicken burger that has made the likes of Miami Crispy famous.
Miz says they have used the same ingredients as the Miami Crispy burger but have added their own twist. Unfortunately I have never tasted Miami Crispy’s chicken burger so cannot compare the two, but, I can see Three Brother’s new burger being a hit.
It’s spicy, messy and like the Naga wings there is a hint of sweetness to it.
Speaking about their famous Naga sauce, Miz, 41, said: “It’s unique, nobody does this in Manchester. "The Naga donner, to this day, nobody does it in Manchester.
“Naga is one of the hottest chillis in the world after the Carolina reaper, it originates in Bangladesh and my mum grows Naga chillis from home, and they supply me with that. So I make the sauce from it.
“You’ve got others who try replicate it, but they do it with peri peri sauce. Nobody in Manchester does it.”
