Manchester United are 'ready' to let Casemiro leave the club as soon as the January transfer window.
That is according to a report by TEAMtalk, which claims United have 'slapped a £50million price tag' on the Brazilian's signature. Despite being one of the Reds' most important players last season, there has been a recent increase in reports linking the 31-year-old with an exit this term.
Casemiro's performance have regressed at an alarming rate so far this season, so much so that he has failed to offer United the control and the defensive presence in midfield that he constantly provided last term. Currently sidelined with a hamstring problem, reports elsewhere have suggested United are already on the hunt for his long-term successor.

United, as reported by the Manchester Evening News in September, have identified the centre of midfield as one of four key areas they want to strengthen in next summer's transfer window. However, according to this latest report, the Reds are 'open' to selling Casemiro as soon as January to facilitate fresh legs in the engine room.
The Brazilian international, who is not expected to play again this side of Christmas, has made a total of 63 appearances for United so far, chipping in with 11 goals and seven assists. He has scored four goals in 12 games this term - a return that can only be bettered in the United camp by Rasmus Hojlund, who has five.
Saudi Arabia has been touted as a possible destination for Casemiro, who has not played club football outside of Europe since 2013. French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also been namechecked as another possible suitor.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray are poised to 'hold talks' with United about the prospect of signing out-of-favour midfielder Donny van de Beek. That is according to a report by Turkish outlet Sporx, which claims discussions are set to take place next week.
United face Galatasaray in Istanbul next Wednesday evening in their penultimate Champions League group stage fixture. It promises to be a crunch evening for the Reds, who will be eliminated from the competition if they lose.
Before the two sides go head-to-head on the pitch, though, United will reportedly hold talks with the Turkish giants about the prospect of selling Van de Beek. The Netherlands international has no future at Old Trafford, highlighted by the fact he has made just two substitute appearances so far this season.
Any hopes he had of resurrecting his career at United under Erik ten Hag were quashed several months ago, meaning it would be in all parties' best interests to sort out a move. Galatasaray are reportedly keen on getting a deal done and offering him a new lease of life.
Van de Beek, since joining United from Ajax in September 2020, has made just 62 appearances for the club, scoring two goals. He spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Everton.
