A restaurant situated less than an hour away from Manchester has retained its AA Rosette for a number of years - and has just now kept hold of it again.
Pecks Restaurant, in Congleton in Cheshire, features a creative menu full of dishes that ‘push boundaries’ with ingredients sourced from the surrounding countryside and grown by local suppliers. Its Signature Menu includes the likes of blackened rump steak, 'Pecks' fish and chips, and griddled lamb cutlet.
The fine dining restaurant, located on the A34 between Congleton and Scholar Green, has had an AA Rosette for a number of years. The award recognises high-quality food and service at restaurants and hotels nationwide.

Posting on social media, the owners of the restaurant on Newcastle Road said it was pleased to ‘continue’ its success having held on to the Rosette - which has been a staple within the hospitality industry since 1956 - again this year, reports CheshireLive.

The restaurant is also renowned for its Dinner at Eight menu, which transforms the venue into a theatre of food featuring a ‘theatrical cavalcade of culinary delights’ as waiting staff describe the ingredients, cooking techniques and flavours behind each course. In addition, it also serves Sunday roasts, Afternoon Tea, and lunches, as well as catering for events and weddings.
Love for the restaurant has also exceeded beyond with favourable online reviews from diners. Philip R wrote: "Sunday Lunch at Pecks is always good. Great service from attentive staff. Fresh local ingredients cooked to an excellent standard. 4 of us had starters, mains and dessert as well a bottle of wine to share for a quite reasonable price."
