Rico Lewis relished his senior England debut on Monday evening but the Manchester City youngster is not yet focusing on securing a place in the squad for next summer's European Championship.
Lewis was a surprise starter on the eve of his 19th birthday as England drew 1-1 in North Macedonia. The teenager was unfortunate to have a penalty given against him following a VAR intervention but didn't look out of place with the first team.
His versatility will give Southgate a fresh headache when it comes to picking his squad for next summer's Euro 2024 in Germany. But Lewis isn't looking that far ahead, instead enjoying the milestone of a senior international debut.

"Obviously overall I'm very happy," Lewis told Channel 4 after full-time. "Unfortunately the result and obviously the decision that went against me.
"But overall, I'm so happy to have made my debut first of all before my birthday, it was a lovely birthday present and to do it with the people around me. I couldn't have dreamed of anything better.
"I'm not really focused on any tournaments or anything in the future. All I can do is focus on myself and what I can do to get better. Whatever will be, will be, I just need to focus on what I can improve on and then we'll see what happens."
Lewis has long been tipped as Kyle Walker's successor at City, having spent the last few seasons developing under the more experienced right-back. The 33-year-old is currently enjoying some of his best form and has also been an excellent mentor for a player 14 years his junior.
"He's a great lad," Walker said of Lewis. "Listen, he shows his qualities week in, week out and to play for a team like we've got it deserves this cap because I think he's been fantastic. So first and foremost congratulations and happy birthday for tomorrow."
