Rylan Clark stunned Alison Hammond as he joined her at the helm of This Morning after she shared hints about 'moving on' from the programme. The pair were reunited on Thursday (November 23) to front the ITV daytime show from the studio while Dermot O'Leary was sent of to the This Morning forest.
At the top of the show, after welcoming viewers and revealing what was to come over the two and a half hours the programme is on air, Alison and Rylan sat down to discuss the latest news headlines and other quirky stories catching people's attention.
It was during the segment that Rylan, 35, told Alison, 48, about his surprise working from home attire while he was recording his BBC Radio 2 during the pandemic which saw him host his Saturday afternoon show from his sprawling home in Essex.

At the time, they were discussing wearing comfy clothes to work after it was revealed one in three employees wear pyjamas while on the clock. Discussing the new study on the show, Rylan confessed to working in nothing but a pair of pants during the Covid lockdowns.
He revealed: "I remember during COVID I was doing my radio show from my house, I had to build a studio. I did BBC Radio 2 in my underwear." Clearly shocked by the admission, Alison replied: "Stop it. But did you put a top on?"
Revealing more about his risky working attire, Rylan explained: "No, no one could see me it was just my voice. I was sat there in my pants. I always walk about in my underwear I love it, sometimes I might have none on."
It comes amid Alison's return to the show after she hinted she may leave This Morning soon after admitting she's determined to bag her own TV show. The mum-of-one has been regularly on our screens as she takes up more hosting shifts on the show following Holly Willoughby's shock departure last month.
But some may have forgotten that Alison, who has also recently become the co-host of The Great British Bake Off, was a former panellist on Loose Women, a job she said she'd "love" to have again. She hinted she could be moving on from This Morning soon rather than later, confessing that while she adores the gig, she has other dreams to pursue.
"I love my job and I'm good at it. But I've always got plans, things I want to do next. I can't tell you how many times I've asked for my own show," she told Woman's Own magazine. "That's what I want, a show called Alison. It might get to the point where I just make it myself!"
