Sir Bobby Charlton
The ultimate Manchester United ambassador, Sir Bobby Charlton signed for the Reds on June 1 1953 and has provided sterling service on and off the pitch ever since. With the help of his trademark rocket shot he scored 247 goals in 754 games over a 17-year playing career and survived the Munich air disaster. He also starred in England's 1966 World Cup win. Sir Bobby was appointed a director at Old Trafford in 1984.
