Wigan Warriors coach Matt Peet has spoken about his side's bigger picture and pride for the local community leading up to Sunday's game with Wakefield Trinity.
Peet has enjoyed a trophy-winning season in his inaugural year as boss at the DW Stadium, but he has gone on record by saying the Challenge Cup win over Huddersfield Giants is all in the past, and what really matters is how his players present themselves in the present day on and off the field.
It's highly unlikely due to rivals St Helens being four points clear in the league, but the coveted treble is still on for the Warriors. However, Peet insists the job isn't all about lifting silverware, especially for a club like Wigan.

"I said from the start that a trophy or winning single games isn't the end goal," said Peet. "We are creating an environment and a club that we can be proud of and be positive within the local community. We have made some great memories, like that Challenge Cup win this season. Still, it is just a memory now that the lads can look back on with fondness, and they deserved that, but we have moved on, and there is no endpoint in the sport.
"Just winning trophies isn't the goal. We haven't been carried away with the cup win because anything can happen. I would have known if we felt any arrogance, and we don't want that. The cup photos are up, and it's excellent, but we want to take more pictures with different silverware.
"We are trying to help the community as much as we can. Really, if you just set yourself on winning games, you have to stand for something bigger. Everyone involved with the club wants it to be a place that has a positive impact on our stakeholders, fans, players and more. That's what teams are about. Only a few win trophies, but all have a say in the community."
